OUR VISION

We welcome all. We join in joyful worship and offer opportunities for everyone to discern and share their spiritual and leadership gifts. We seek justice and peace, and we build community through prayer, action, and sharing our resources.

The people of Church of the Ascension are like the people of Silver Spring, our community just outside Washington, DC: we are of every age, background, and gender, and we have all different kinds of families. We bring different past experiences of church to our life together at Ascension. We celebrate and mourn together and care for one another and our neighbors.
